November has been another busy and positive month at RISE, with pupils continuing to settle into routines, build relationships and engage with their learning in meaningful ways.
Earlier in the month, pupils took part in activities for Remembrance Day and Anti-Bullying Week, approaching both themes with thoughtfulness and maturity. From creative work and discussions around remembrance, to important conversations about kindness, respect and standing up for others, pupils engaged brilliantly with these topics. You can read more about how we marked these weeks in our dedicated blog post here.
Our Junior Duke Award is now well underway, and it has been fantastic to see pupils fully embracing the ethos behind the programme. Many have already begun taking part in charitable actions and community-based projects (such as litter picking), showing real initiative, teamwork and pride in what they are achieving. Seeing pupils come together, complete their Junior Duke workbooks with pride, motivate one another and take ownership of their progress has been a real highlight this month.
We’ve also welcomed a few new starters to RISE in November, which has been very exciting. We’re incredibly proud of how well they have settled in with their new tutors and mentors, building routines, forming relationships and becoming part of the RISE community so quickly.
As we head towards the end of term, we’re really proud of the resilience, positivity and effort our pupils continue to show. November has been another reminder of how our young people continue to Engage. Succeed. Thrive. RISE.

"M has built a great relationship with his mentors especially Jack out of all his mentors and tutors from another AP. Jack has helped M build a trusted relationship and understanding manner.
M has had a positive outcome and enjoys taking part which he didn’t previously and anxiety/communicating, which has really come on since working with Jack. Communication with myself is excellent. Jack has a very understanding kind and great approach, who is a trusted adult. My son feels comfortable with and someone who understands and reassures."

"Thank you to Taylor for everything he has done for C, he has impacted his life in the most positive way during the most challenging time of his life. Taylor has been a lifeline for C and without him, he was at risk of Permanent Exclusion.
He now has transitioned to a specialist school and this would not have been possible without RISE's support. C will remember him forever for the most positive reasons!"

I would like to thank you all for the support you have given A. Jack made such an immense difference to him last year and worked with us so well to transition A into Year 4 and to this point. Thank you to Lucinda too and all your staff that have worked with him. I have been so impressed with your professionalism and support.
What a success story!
