RISE Activities Across September

It’s been a fantastic first month back at RISE after the summer holidays! We’re so proud of how well our pupils have settled back into their routines: from reconnecting with mentors and tutors to diving straight into learning and enrichment activities, it’s been wonderful to see everyone re-engaging with such motivation and positivity.

This half term is already off to a busy and exciting start, with pupils taking part in a wide range of activities that support both academic and personal growth. We’ve enjoyed lots of practical sessions, from cooking and autumnal crafts to sports and outdoor walks (making sure to make the most of the fresh air before the colder weather sets in)! Pupils have also been exploring key life skills, such as financial literacy through lessons and practical activities, as well as academic work such as writing up match reports, building balanced arguments and practising their maths through real-life examples.

We’ve been especially proud of those pupils who have shown resilience and determination while sitting tests and assessments in their school settings. Transitions, new challenges and assessments can sometimes feel overwhelming, but our pupils have approached them with focus and maturity, which is brilliant to see.

Well done to all of our pupils (and staff) for such a positive start to the year! Your effort, engagement and enthusiasm have not gone unoticed and it has been a pleasure seeing all of the photos up in our Facebook group. We're certain that the momentum will continue as we approach October, to which we're sure will be another amazing month full of learning, creativity and continued progress as we all continue to Engage.
