October has been a brilliant month here at RISE, and it’s been wonderful to see pupils continuing to settle into routines, build confidence, and engage so positively in their learning. As the seasons have shifted, we’ve been making the most of every opportunity to get outdoors: from autumn walks and nature-based lessons to simply enjoying the fresh air and noticing the changes happening around us.
Our pupils have shown great curiosity and creativity this month, especially as we embraced the spooky season! We’ve had pumpkin-themed activities, autumn leaf crafts and plenty of discussions, writing tasks and projects inspired by Autumn and Halloween. It’s been lovely to see learners using their imaginations, developing their fine motor skills, and taking pride in their seasonal creations.
Across our sessions, pupils have also continued to develop important life skills, teamwork and resilience, whether through group challenges, cookery sessions, sports, or support with emotional regulation and academic progress. Tutors have also been working hard in the background, helping pupils excel in their maths, English and foundation subjects too.
A huge well done to everyone for their fantastic effort, positivity and perseverance this month! After a well-deserved week break, we can't wait to see what November brings and pupils continue to Engage. Succeed. Thrive. RISE.

I would like to thank you all for the support you have given A. Jack made such an immense difference to him last year and worked with us so well to transition A into Year 4 and to this point. Thank you to Lucinda too and all your staff that have worked with him. I have been so impressed with your professionalism and support.
What a success story!

"My son totally looks up to Sam and I have seen such a change in Charlie. He's happier and is coming out with me so much more at weekends now as well which is so nice! It's all thanks to Sam.
Thanks to Sam for all his help with Charlie: he really enjoys spending time with him and it benefits Charlie’s mental health so much."

The RISE Team provided well prepared, high quality and engaging PACE training to staff who work with children aged 3-11. Staff commented on how useful the real life examples were and how these supported them to apply this training in our school environment. The RISE Team worked with leaders before delivering the training which meant we could adapt it to the needs of our school. I have seen many of the strategies being used in school which has lead to the prevention of escalations. Overall, highly effective training!
