As we wrap up the final week of term, we want to say a huge well done to all of our RISE pupils. This term has brought its fair share of challenges (from exams and changing routines to new learning experiences and personal growth) and we couldn’t be prouder of the resilience, progress, and effort our pupils have shown throughout.
Despite the pressures of the term for many pupils, we’ve continued to prioritise emotional literacy across all areas. Pupils have been supported in identifying their emotions, understanding the triggers behind them, and developing practical, healthy coping strategies - some of which you'll see in the pictures below. It’s been wonderful to see them becoming more self-aware and confident in managing how they feel.
Tutoring and mentoring sessions have offered space for academic growth, emotional support, and meaningful connection. From fun, practical activities like learning about healthy eating, to more creative sessions such as sequin art and physical education through boxing and swimming, pupils have had regular opportunities to develop real-life skills in engaging, relevant ways.
We’ve also enjoyed some exciting experiences that combine fun and learning - including biology lessons involving live animal handling, and thought-provoking museum visits where pupils explored and analysed art. These opportunities have encouraged curiosity, critical thinking, and a sense of enjoyment in learning, all while strengthening their place in the RISE community.
It’s been a full and rewarding term, and we’re so proud of every pupil for the way they continue to Engage. Succeed. Thrive. RISE.

"Thank you to Taylor for everything he has done for C, he has impacted his life in the most positive way during the most challenging time of his life. Taylor has been a lifeline for C and without him, he was at risk of Permanent Exclusion.
He now has transitioned to a specialist school and this would not have been possible without RISE's support. C will remember him forever for the most positive reasons!"

"RISE AP has made a significant impact on the children who attend our school. Many students who were previously out of school are now successfully reintegrated into the classroom, even participating in afternoon sessions - something that once seemed out of reach for them.
This tailored support addresses their unique needs, helping them thrive both academically and emotionally, in a way that truly makes a difference to their overall well-being and future prospects."

I would like to thank you all for the support you have given A. Jack made such an immense difference to him last year and worked with us so well to transition A into Year 4 and to this point. Thank you to Lucinda too and all your staff that have worked with him. I have been so impressed with your professionalism and support.
What a success story!
