The past month has flown by, and as always, we’re so proud of everything our RISE pupils have achieved. Despite the ongoing heat, they’ve continued to show brilliant resilience: staying focused, engaging positively and making the most of every opportunity.
Our mentors and tutors have supported pupils through a range of activities to keep learning and wellbeing at the heart of each day. From outdoor sessions and emotional regulation strategies to academic progress in core subjects, pupils have continued to build both confidence and independence.
Tutors and mentors have also started supporting several pupils to transition back to school for September. We’ve been proud to see how thoughtfully and maturely pupils are approaching these changes, and we’re here every step of the way to help make those transitions as smooth and successful as possible. These include meeting with the teachers, school tours, supporting with transition days and transitional activities.
At the same time, we’re beginning to prepare pupils for the summer holidays, helping them build routines, reflect on their progress, supporting them with feeling confident being in the community and ensuring they feel ready for a long break. As always, our focus remains on both academic growth and emotional wellbeing, ensuring pupils are equipped with the tools they need, whatever lies ahead.
Well done to all our pupils for continuing to Engage. Succeed. Thrive. RISE.

"The Mentor’s relationship with J and me has helped hugely. Having another adult to help has made me feel less alone in my care for J. Bridget's wealth of knowledge has been vital to us accessing services, benefits and professionals within BCP.
Also, the resources provided have been superb. I am really grateful for the care, support and kindness Bridget has provided us. Without her, we would be in a really bad place."

"RISE AP has made a significant impact on the children who attend our school. Many students who were previously out of school are now successfully reintegrated into the classroom, even participating in afternoon sessions - something that once seemed out of reach for them.
This tailored support addresses their unique needs, helping them thrive both academically and emotionally, in a way that truly makes a difference to their overall well-being and future prospects."

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to you and the entire team at RISE. Your unwavering commitment to placing young people at the heart of everything you do is consistently evident, and it does not go unnoticed.
I am especially grateful for the close and collaborative working relationship we have developed. Your willingness to respond promptly and supportively whenever I have reached out regarding a young person in need has been invaluable. You have never let me down, and the level of care and support provided to the young people referred to your service has been exceptional.
RISE’s robust and comprehensive approach to safeguarding offers significant reassurance. It is clear that safeguarding is not just a priority, but a fundamental part of your practice. Knowing that a young person is in your care truly eases the weight on my shoulders as an Inclusion Officer, as I am confident that they are safe, supported, and respected at all times.
Thank you once again for your continued dedication and for the vital role you play in supporting some of our most vulnerable young people.
