RISE Activities Week Beginning 5th May

Our pupils have been exploring and celebrating VE Day in a range of creative and meaningful ways. From researching the history of Victory in Europe Day and learning about its significance, to heading outside to gather information, and creating eye-catching posters, they’ve shown real curiosity and enthusiasm. Pupils who are still attending school enjoyed taking part in special VE Day activities too - from vibrant non-uniform days to reflective assemblies that encouraged thoughtful discussions about the past and how it shapes our present.
With SATs and other examinations approaching, our pupils have shown remarkable resilience. Across all age groups, we’ve seen a huge amount of dedication, from working through past paper questions and revising content, to participating in sessions focused on managing anxiety and developing positive exam strategies. It’s been a busy and challenging period, but our pupils have truly risen to the occasion - not only meeting each moment with strength, but also looking ahead with excitement towards their future goals.
This is exactly what RISE is all about: helping our pupils Engage, Succeed, Thrive and RISE.

"O didn't have any support other than myself to help her and was struggling to cope with life, having the opportunity to have Leila in her life has opened her mind to so much. We were extremely struggling to cope so having Leila's support has helped tremendously.

The RISE Team provided well prepared, high quality and engaging PACE training to staff who work with children aged 3-11. Staff commented on how useful the real life examples were and how these supported them to apply this training in our school environment. The RISE Team worked with leaders before delivering the training which meant we could adapt it to the needs of our school. I have seen many of the strategies being used in school which has lead to the prevention of escalations. Overall, highly effective training!

"My son totally looks up to Sam and I have seen such a change in Charlie. He's happier and is coming out with me so much more at weekends now as well which is so nice! It's all thanks to Sam.
