Following a productive staff training day, it’s been fantastic to see our RISE pupils settle back into routine so smoothly this week. There’s something really special about seeing familiar staff uniforms and pupils out in the community again - learning, connecting, and engaging in thoughtful conversations around emotional wellbeing and personal development.
This week, our pupils have worn many hats! They’ve stepped into the shoes of detectives, solving fictional murder mysteries with curiosity and teamwork. They've shown their competitive spirit as athletes and sportspeople, dived into the past as historians exploring different periods of history, and exercised their problem-solving skills as mathematicians.
They’ve also taken on the role of career advisors - researching their dream jobs, setting goals, and identifying the steps needed to reach them. It's been a brilliant mix of fun, learning, and future thinking.
Well done to everyone for getting stuck in with such great energy. We’re so proud of the motivation we’ve seen already and can’t wait to see what the rest of the term brings as our pupils continue to Engage. Succeed. Thrive. RISE.

"O didn't have any support other than myself to help her and was struggling to cope with life, having the opportunity to have Leila in her life has opened her mind to so much. We were extremely struggling to cope so having Leila's support has helped tremendously.
It has given me hope that not every door is shut to her and there are people out there that want to help, and she can get support that she needs. O was extremely negative about anyone being able to support her as no one had in the past so this opportunity has definitely helped her to have more faith in people and to trust the process."

"My son totally looks up to Sam and I have seen such a change in Charlie. He's happier and is coming out with me so much more at weekends now as well which is so nice! It's all thanks to Sam.
Thanks to Sam for all his help with Charlie: he really enjoys spending time with him and it benefits Charlie’s mental health so much."

"I feel a lot more confident! Now, I can go out into the community and talk to people, like when I order my own drinks - it's something I didn’t feel brave enough to do before. I’ve also learned to understand my feelings better.
I can tell when I’m upset or stressed, and I know how to use strategies to stay calm and in the Green Zone of Regulation, so I can handle things better and feel more in control."
