Final Staff Meeting of the Year

Posted: 17-07-2025

As we wrap up the academic year, our final staff meeting was a special moment to reflect on all that’s been achieved

It was a lovely opportunity to pause, connect, and celebrate together, not just what the pupils have achieved, but also the impact tutors and mentors have had too. We took time to look through some of the thoughtful and positive responses from the parent and caregiver surveys that went out earlier this term. The kind words and gratitude shared were genuinely moving, serving as a reminder of the meaningful impact our mentors and tutors have every single day. It was a joy to read them aloud and reflect on the relationships built and the progress made.

To bring a bit of fun into the final week, we also created a light-hearted end-of-year video to make our pupils smile over the holidays. We've already received messages from parents saying how much they (and their children) loved it. If you haven’t seen it yet, head over to the RISE Alternative Provision Facebook page to take a look!

As an extra thank you, every member of our senior leadership team took the time to handwrite personal thank you cards to our staff, alongside giving a small gift to show our appreciation. At RISE, we know that it takes a team and we never take for granted the care, creativity, and dedication our mentors and tutors pour into their work.

Everything we do is about creating a space where pupils can Engage. Succeed. Thrive. RISE. and that’s only possible because of the exceptional team behind the scenes. Thank you, all. Here’s to a well-earned rest and an exciting year ahead!

I would like to thank you all for the support you have given A. Jack made such an immense difference to him last year and worked with us so well to transition A into Year 4 and to this point.  Thank you to Lucinda too and all your staff that have worked with him. I have been so impressed with your professionalism and support.

What a success story!

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to you and the entire team at RISE. Your unwavering commitment to placing young people at the heart of everything you do is consistently evident, and it does not go unnoticed.

I am especially grateful for the close and collaborative working relationship we have developed. Your willingness to respond promptly and supportively whenever I have reached out regarding a young person in need has been invaluable. You have never let me down, and the level of care and support provided to the young people referred to your service has been exceptional.

RISE’s robust and comprehensive approach to safeguarding offers significant reassurance. It is clear that safeguarding is not just a priority, but a fundamental part of your practice. Knowing that a young person is in your care truly eases the weight on my shoulders as an Inclusion Officer, as I am confident that they are safe, supported, and respected at all times.

Thank you once again for your continued dedication and for the vital role you play in supporting some of our most vulnerable young people.

"The Mentor’s relationship with J and me has helped hugely. Having another adult to help has made me feel less alone in my care for J. Bridget's wealth of knowledge has been vital to us accessing services, benefits and professionals within BCP.

Also, the resources provided have been superb. I am really grateful for the care, support and kindness Bridget has provided us. Without her, we would be in a really bad place."
