Our Easter meet-up marked a special moment this term, as pupils came together for the first time at our newly opened Minster House hub in Wimborne. For many, it was their first visit to the space, and they approached the day with enthusiasm, ready to connect, take part and enjoy something a little different.
The day was centred around a range of Easter-themed activities, giving pupils the chance to engage in both creative and active experiences. Indoors, pupils enjoyed card making, creating rice bunnies and decorating shortcake biscuits, taking pride in their work and sharing ideas with one another. Outside, the atmosphere was lively, with an egg and spoon race, a fun tug of war involving both pupils and staff, and an Easter scavenger hunt in the local community, encouraging teamwork and exploration.
The meet-up provided a valuable opportunity for pupils to spend time together in a relaxed and supportive environment. It was encouraging to see conversations flow more easily, pupils supporting one another and many feeling confident enough to step slightly outside of their comfort zones. These shared experiences play an important role in developing social skills, building relationships and strengthening a sense of belonging.
Minster House has already begun to feel like a positive and welcoming space where pupils can connect and grow. The day reflected the progress pupils are making, not only in their confidence and independence, but also in how they interact with and support those around them.
We are proud of how pupils approached the day and embraced the opportunities available to them, continuing to engage, succeed, thrive and embody what it means to be part of RISE.

"My son totally looks up to Sam and I have seen such a change in Charlie. He's happier and is coming out with me so much more at weekends now as well which is so nice! It's all thanks to Sam.
Thanks to Sam for all his help with Charlie: he really enjoys spending time with him and it benefits Charlie’s mental health so much."

"RISE AP has made a significant impact on the children who attend our school. Many students who were previously out of school are now successfully reintegrated into the classroom, even participating in afternoon sessions - something that once seemed out of reach for them.
This tailored support addresses their unique needs, helping them thrive both academically and emotionally, in a way that truly makes a difference to their overall well-being and future prospects."

"The Mentor’s relationship with J and me has helped hugely. Having another adult to help has made me feel less alone in my care for J. Bridget's wealth of knowledge has been vital to us accessing services, benefits and professionals within BCP.
Also, the resources provided have been superb. I am really grateful for the care, support and kindness Bridget has provided us. Without her, we would be in a really bad place."
